About Bright Auroras and its Founder

Camilla Kumara is a spiritual mentor, speaker and writer based in Sweden, with almost two decades of experience supporting people through profound inner transformation.
Her work sits at the intersection of the mystical and the practical, drawing on transpersonal psychology, intuitive guidance and a lifelong immersion in esoteric and mystic traditions. Whether through one-on-one mentoring, retreats or her written work, Camilla creates space for people to reconnect with something deeper in themselves and move forward with greater clarity, purpose and soul.
Camilla’s path began early, with curiosity about consciousness, faith and the deeper dimensions of existence. Alongside university studies in social sciences, political science and communication, and four years at the Psychosynthesis Academy deepening in transpersonal psychology, she went further into the esoteric field, learning to read the Akashic Records, followed by years of exploring sacred sound through intuitive chanting.
In 2013, she founded Bright Auroras, through which she offers private mentoring sessions, group workshops, and transformational retreats, both online and in person. Her work has reached audiences far beyond Sweden, with appearances as a guest speaker on numerous international online summits and podcasts over the years. Her approach is warm, pure and deeply intuitive.
Camilla is also a published author. Her oracle card deck New Earth Portals was released in 2022, followed in 2025 by Voice of Mary, a lyrical collection of wisdom teachings channeled through the presence of Mother Mary, reflecting the depth and devotion at the heart of her work.
Camilla lives in Sweden with her husband, three children and their happy companion, the dog Messi.
Bright Auroras – the name and its meaning
If we first look at the word Bright we find five varieties of meaning
- giving off or reflecting much light
- filled with much light
- having or showing a good mood or disposition
- having or showing quickness of mind
- having qualities which inspire hope
Common synonyms from all five meanings are; brilliant, vivid, smart, lustrous, shining, shiny, illuminated, undimmed, promising, golden, sunny, hopeful, exceptional, heartening (Merriam-Webster Thesaurus, u.d.)
When we then look at Auroras we find two meanings:
- An aurora(plural: auroras or aurorae), sometimes referred to as polar lights (aurora polaris), northern lights (aurora borealis), or southern lights (aurora australis), is a natural light display in the Earth’s sky, predominantly seen in high-latitude regions (around the Arctic and Antarctic). Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind. These disturbances are sometimes strong enough to alter the trajectories of charged particles in both solar wind and magnetospheric plasma. (Wikipedia, u.d.)
- The word “aurora” is derived from the name of the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, who travelled from east to west announcing the coming of the sun. Ancient Greek poets used the name metaphorically to refer to dawn, often mentioning its play of colours across the otherwise dark sky. (Wikipedia, u.d.)
There is also a deeper meaning to why we use the plural form Auroras. We hereby claim our own roles and intertwined parts for the birth of the New, the Golden Age, the New Earth, The Age of Aquarius. This is about unity consciousness, and what we can bring to this world.
